Terrestrial Environment

PBA Applied Ecology’s experience and expertise make us the ideal choice when dealing with all ecological and environmental concerns. A wide range of UK legislation exists for the protection of sites and species of ecological interest. This includes the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (as amended), the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010, and the Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006 (the NERC act). Our team of specialist ecologists can help ensure your project can proceed without damaging the natural environment or contravening any environmental legislation.

Ecological survey of proposed development sites may be required by local authority planning departments, environmental regulators, or in response to the result of an initial ecological survey of the site. Larger projects with greater potential for ecological impact are often subject to an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), for which an Ecological Impact Assessment (EcIA) may be required. PBA Applied Ecology is equipped with the staff, capability, and experience to perform a wide range of services across the terrestrial environment.
