PBA Applied Ecology was established in 2010 and has grown to become one of the UK’s most respected specialist ecology practices. We provide clients with efficient, well-targeted, and technically competent services that benefit sustainable development projects and the conservation management of natural habitats, native species and ecosystem function.

Working throughout the UK from our base in the Yorkshire Dales we offer a wide range of services with particular strengths across terrestrial and aquatic ecology. We are especially experienced in working on challenging infrastructure projects that are located at protected or sensitive locations. Drawing upon a wealth of experience, we take an evidence-based approach and provide practical and sustainable solutions for our clients.

The traditional market town of Settle is just a mile away, and this is also a great area for a range of sports, outdoor pursuits and classic karst landscapes of the Yorkshire Dales.
